Hugh Smith is one of America’s most recognized tenors, having performed at all the big houses in the United States and many important venues in Europe. He made his debut in “Madame Butterfly” in Naples, Italy, after winning the Pavarotti competition in 1995. He has worked under the direction of Maestro Placido Domingo and Maestro James Levine. He had the title role of Don Carlo with Zubin Mehta and toured with the Israel Symphony Orchestra.
