David M. Sokol ‘84

As president of Garland Industries, David Sokol has grown the company ten-fold while still maintaining its family culture. When Sokol joined the company in 1990, there were 50 employees and revenues less than $25 million. Today, the company employs more than 500 people with annual sales approaching $250 million. Garland Industries has grown about 12 percent a year while still winning honors for being one of the top places to work in Northeast Ohio.
