Nick J. Mileti ’53, ’75 (Hon.)

Nick Mileti is still a big part of BGSU years after his graduation. He is considered one of the founders of the BGSU Cleveland alumni chapter and was one of the first major donors to the BGSU. Mileti has also made his mark on his hometown of Cleveland. During his career as a prosecutor and housing consultant, Mileti co-founded the Lakewood Hometown Band Concerts and Cuyahoga Valley Historic Steam Railroad Line. In 1970, he brought major league basketball to Cleveland by creating the Cleveland Cavaliers. He also purchased the Cleveland Indians baseball team to save them from being moved to New Orleans.
