Don Nehlen is one of the winning-est coaches in NCAA football history. He piled up 202 victories in 30 years, patrolling the sidelines for West Virginia University and BGSU. During his tenure at both schools, he notched two undefeated seasons, coached in 13 bowl games and saw 51 of his student-athletes go on to play in the National Football League. In 1977, Nehlen left BGSU to join Bo Schembechler’s staff at Michigan and worked as a recruiting coordinator and quarterback coach for two years, before taking the job at West Virginia.
